7 of the gods of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, 8 you shall (A)not [a]consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him; 9 but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to (B)death, and afterward the hand of all the people. 10 And you shall stone him with stones until he dies, because he sought to entice you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

New International Version
7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield(A) to them or listen to them. Show them no pity.(B) Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death.(C) Your hand(D) must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away(E) from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
