⁵ But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be ^(A)put to death, because he has ^[a]counseled ^[b]rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of ^[c]slavery, ^(B)to seduce you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. ^(C)So you shall purge the evil from among you.

^7 (A)The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. ^(B)So you shall purge the evil from your midst.

¹² The man who acts ^(A)presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.

^21 (A)Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so ^(B)you shall remove the evil from your midst, and ^(C)all Israel will hear of it and fear.

²¹ then they shall bring out the girl to the doorway of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her ^[a]to death because she has ^(A)committed an act of folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father’s house; thus ^(B)you shall purge the evil from among you.

^2 [a]You ^(A)have become ^[b]arrogant and ^[c]have not ^(B)mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be ^(C)removed from your midst.
