Deuteronomy 13:2-4

2 and the sign or[a] the wonder comes about that he spoke[b] to you, saying,[c] ‘Let us go after other gods (those whom you have not known), and let us serve them,’ 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer, for Yahweh your God is testing you to know whether you love[d] Yahweh your God with all of your heart and with all of your inner self.[e] 4 You shall go after Yahweh your God, and him you shall revere, and his commandment you shall keep, and to his voice you shall listen, and him you shall serve, and to him you shall hold fast.

New International Version
2 and if the sign(A) or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods”(B) (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet(C) or dreamer.(D) The Lord your God is testing(E) you to find out whether you love(F) him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow,(G) and him you must revere.(H) Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast(I) to him.
