Muerte y sepultura de Moisés
34 Moisés subió del desierto de Moab al monte Nebo, a la cumbre del monte Pisgá, que está frente a Jericó. Desde allí el Señor le hizo contemplar toda la región de Galaad hasta el territorio de Dan, 2 las regiones de Neftalí, Efraín y Manasés, todo el territorio de Judá hasta el mar Mediterráneo, 3 el Négueb, el valle del Jordán y la llanura de Jericó, ciudad de las palmeras, hasta Sóar. 4 Y el Señor le dijo:
«Éste es el país que yo juré a Abraham, Isaac y Jacob que daría a sus descendientes. He querido que lo veas con tus propios ojos, aunque no vas a entrar en él.»
5 Y así Moisés, el siervo de Dios, murió en la tierra de Moab, tal como el Señor lo había dicho, 6 y fue enterrado en un valle de la región de Moab, frente a Bet-peor, en un lugar que hasta la fecha nadie conoce. 7 Murió a los ciento veinte años de edad, habiendo conservado hasta su muerte buena vista y buena salud.
8 Los israelitas lloraron a Moisés durante treinta días en el desierto de Moab, cumpliendo así los días de llanto y luto por su muerte. 9 Y Josué, hijo de Nun, recibió de Moisés sabiduría, pues Moisés puso sus manos sobre él; así que los israelitas le obedecieron e hicieron como el Señor había ordenado a Moisés.
10 Sin embargo, nunca más hubo en Israel otro profeta como Moisés, con quien el Señor hablara cara a cara, 11 o que hiciera todos los prodigios y maravillas que el Señor le mandó hacer en Egipto contra el faraón, sus funcionarios y todo su país, 12 o que le igualara en poder y en los hechos grandes e importantes que hizo a la vista de todo Israel.

Moses Dies on Mount Nebo
34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab (A)to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is across from Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the [a]Western Sea, 3 the South, and the plain of the Valley of Jericho, (B)the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4 Then the Lord said to him, (C)“This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ (D)I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.”
5 (E)So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. 6 And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but (F)no one knows his grave to this day. 7 (G)Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. (H)His [b]eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor [c]diminished. 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab (I)thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended.
9 Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the (J)spirit of wisdom, for (K)Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 But since then there (L)has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, (M)whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 in all (N)the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, 12 and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.

The Death of Moses
34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab (A)to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah (B)as far as the western sea, 3 (C)the Negeb, and (D)the Plain, that is, the Valley of Jericho (E)the city of palm trees, as far as (F)Zoar. 4 And the Lord said to him, (G)“This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ (H)I have let you see it with your eyes, but (I)you shall not go over there.” 5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord, 6 and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but (J)no one knows the place of his burial to this day. 7 (K)Moses was 120 years old when he died. (L)His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. 8 And the people of Israel (M)wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
