33 Y ESTA es la bendición con la cual bendijo Moisés varón de Dios á los hijos de Israel, antes que muriese.
2 Y dijo:
Jehová vino de Sinaí,
Y de Seir les esclareció;
Resplandeció del monte de Parán,
Y vino con diez mil santos:
A su diestra la ley de fuego para ellos.
3 Aun amó los pueblos;
Todos sus santos en tu mano:
Ellos también se llegaron á tus pies:
Recibieron de tus dichos.
4 Ley nos mandó Moisés,
Heredad á la congregación de Jacob.
5 Y fué rey en Jeshurun,
Cuando se congregaron las cabezas del pueblo
Con las tribus de Israel.
6 Viva Rubén, y no muera;
Y sean sus varones en número.
7 Y esta bendición para Judá.
Dijo así:
Oye, oh Jehová, la voz de Judá,
Y llévalo á su pueblo;
Sus manos le basten,
Y tú seas ayuda contra sus enemigos.
8 Y á Leví dijo:
Tu Thummim y tu Urim, con tu buen varón,
Al cual tentaste en Massa,
Y le hiciste reñir en las aguas de la rencilla;
9 El que dijo á su padre y á su madre: Nunca los vi:
Ni conoció á sus hermanos,
Ni conoció á sus hijos:
Por lo cual ellos guardarán tus palabras,
Y observarán tu pacto.
10 Ellos enseñarán tus juicios á Jacob,
Y tu ley á Israel;
Pondrán el perfume delante de ti,
Y el holocausto sobre tu altar.
11 Bendice, oh Jehová, lo que hicieren,
Y recibe con agrado la obra de sus manos:
Hiere los lomos de sus enemigos,
Y de los que le aborrecieren;
para que nunca se levanten.
12 Y á Benjamín dijo:
El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él;
Cubrirálo siempre,
Y entre sus hombros morará.
13 Y á José dijo:
Bendita de Jehová su tierra,
Por los regalos de los cielos, por el rocío,
Y por el abismo que abajo yace,
14 Y por los regalados frutos del sol,
Y por los regalos de las influencias de las lunas,
15 Y por la cumbre de los montes antiguos,
Y por los regalos de los collados eternos,
16 Y por los regalos de la tierra y su plenitud;
Y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza
Venga sobre la cabeza de José,
Y sobre la mollera del apartado de sus hermanos.
17 Él es aventajado como el primogénito de su toro,
Y sus cuernos, cuernos de unicornio:
Con ellos acorneará los pueblos juntos hasta los fines de la tierra:
Y estos son los diez millares de Ephraim,
Y estos los millares de Manasés.
18 Y á Zabulón dijo:
Alégrate, Zabulón, cuando salieres:
Y tu Issachâr, en tus tiendas.
19 Llamarán los pueblos al monte;
Allí sacrificarán sacrificios de justicia:
Por lo cual chuparán la abundancia de los mares,
Y los tesoros escondidos de la arena.
20 Y á Gad dijo:
Bendito el que hizo ensanchar á Gad:
Como león habitará,
Y arrebatará brazo y testa.
21 Y él se ha provisto de la parte primera,
Porque allí una porción del legislador fuéle reservada,
Y vino en la delantera del pueblo;
La justicia de Jehová ejecutará,
Y sus juicios con Israel.
22 Y á Dan dijo:
Dan, cachorro de león:
Saltará desde Basán.
23 Y á Nephtalí dijo:
Nephtalí, saciado de benevolencia,
Y lleno de la bendición de Jehová,
Posee el occidente y el mediodía,
24 Y á Aser dijo:
Bendito Aser en hijos:
Agradable será á sus hermanos,
Y mojará en aceite su pie.
25 Hierro y metal tu calzado,
Y como tus días tu fortaleza.
26 No hay como el Dios de Jeshurun,
Montado sobre los cielos para tu ayuda,
Y sobre las nubes con su grandeza.
27 El eterno Dios es tu refugio
Y acá abajo los brazos eternos;
Él echará de delante de ti al enemigo,
Y dirá: Destruye.
28 E Israel, fuente de Jacob, habitará confiado solo
En tierra de grano y de vino:
También sus cielos destilarán rocío.
29 Bienaventurado tú, oh Israel,
¿Quién como tú,
Pueblo salvo por Jehová,
Escudo de tu socorro,
Y espada de tu excelencia?
Así que tus enemigos serán humillados,
Y tú hollarás sobre sus alturas.

33 Och detta är den välsignelse gudsmannen Mose gav Israels barn före sin död;
2 han sade: »HERREN kom från Sinai, och från Seir gick hans sken upp för dem; man kom fram i glans från berget Paran, ut ur hopen av mångtusen heliga; på hans högra sida brann i eld en lag för dem.
3 Ja, han vårdar sig om folken; folkets heliga äro alla under din hand. De ligga vid din fot, de hämta upp av dina ord.
4 Mose gav åt oss en lag, en arvedel for Jakobs menighet.
5 Och Jesurun fick en konung, när folkets hövdingar församlades, Israels stammar allasammans.»
6 »Må Ruben leva och icke dö; dock blive hans män en ringa hop.
7 Och detta sade han om Juda: »Hör, o HERRE, Judas röst, och låt honom komma till sitt folk. Med sina händer utförde han dess sak; bliv du honom en hjälp mot hans ovänner.»
8 Och om Levi sade han: »Dina tummim och dina urim, de tillhöra din frommes skara, dem du frestade i Massa, dem du tvistade med vid Meribas vatten,
9 dem som sade om fader och moder: 'Jag ser dem icke', och som icke ville kännas vid sina bröder, ej heller veta av sina barn. Ty de aktade på ditt tal, och ditt förbund höllo de.
10 De lära Jakob dina rätter och Israel din lag, de bära fram rökverk för din näsa och heloffer på ditt altare.
11 Välsigna, HERRE, hans kraft, och låt hans händers verk behaga dig. Krossa länderna på hans motståndare, på hans fiender, så att de icke kunna resa sig.»
12 Om Benjamin sade han: »HERRENS vän är han, han skall bo i trygghet hos honom, hos honom som överskygger honom alltid, och som har sin boning mellan hans höjder.»
13 Och om Josef sade han: »Välsignat av HERREN vare hans land med himmelens ädlaste gåvor, med dagg, med gåvor från djupet som utbreder sig därnere,
14 med solens ädlaste alster och månvarvens ädlaste frukter,
15 med de uråldriga bergens yppersta skatter och de eviga höjdernas ädlaste frukt,
16 med jordens ädlaste frukt och allt vad hon bär, och med nåd från honom som bodde i busken. Detta komme över Josefs huvud, över hans hjässa, furstens bland bröder.
17 Härlig är den förstfödde bland hans tjurar, såsom en vildoxes äro hans horn; med dem stångar han ned alla folk, ja ock dem som bo vid jordens ändar. Sådana äro Efraims tiotusenden. sådana Manasses tusenden.»
18 Och om Sebulon sade han: »Gläd dig, Sebulon, när du drager ut, och du, Isaskar, i dina tält.
19 Folk inbjuda de till sitt berg; där offra de rätta offer. Ty havens rikedom få de suga, och de skatter som sanden döljer.»
20 Och om Gad sade han: »Lovad vare han som gav så rymligt land åt Gad! Lik en lejoninna har han lägrat sig, han krossar både arm och hjässa.
21 Han utsåg åt sig förstlingslandet, ty där var hans härskarlott förvarad. Dock drog han med bland folkets hövdingar; HERRENS rätt utförde han och hans domar, tillsammans med det övriga Israel.»
22 Och om Dan sade han: »Dan är ett ungt lejon, som rusar ned från Basan.»
23 Och om Naftali sade han: »Naftali har fått riklig nåd och välsignelse till fyllest av HERREN. Västern och södern tage du i besittning.»
24 Och om Aser sade han: »Välsignad bland söner vare Aser! Han blive älskad av sina bröder, och han doppe sin fot i olja.
25 Av järn och koppar vare dina riglar; och så länge du lever, må din kraft bestå.»
26 »Ingen är lik Gud, o Jesurun; till din hjälp far han fram på himmelen och i sin höghet på skyarna.
27 En tillflykt är han, urtidens Gud, och härnere råda hans eviga armar. Han förjagade fienderna för dig, han sade: Förgör dem.
28 Så fick Israel bo i trygghet, Jakobs källa vara i ro, i ett land med säd och vin, under en himmel som dryper av dagg.
29 Säll är du, Israel; ja, vem är dig lik? Du är ett folk som får seger genom HERREN, genom honom som är din skyddande sköld, honom som är ditt ärorika svärd. Ja, dina fiender skola visa dig underdånighet, och du skall gå fram över deras höjder.»

Moses Blesses the Tribes(A)
33 This is the blessing(B) that Moses the man of God(C) pronounced on the Israelites before his death. 2 He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai(D)
and dawned over them from Seir;(E)
he shone forth(F) from Mount Paran.(G)
He came with[a] myriads of holy ones(H)
from the south, from his mountain slopes.[b]
3 Surely it is you who love(I) the people;
all the holy ones are in your hand.(J)
At your feet they all bow down,(K)
and from you receive instruction,
4 the law that Moses gave us,(L)
the possession of the assembly of Jacob.(M)
5 He was king(N) over Jeshurun[c](O)
when the leaders of the people assembled,
along with the tribes of Israel.
7 And this he said about Judah:(Q)
“Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah;
bring him to his people.
With his own hands he defends his cause.
Oh, be his help against his foes!”
8 About Levi(R) he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim(S) belong
to your faithful servant.(T)
You tested(U) him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.(V)
9 He said of his father and mother,(W)
‘I have no regard for them.’
He did not recognize his brothers
or acknowledge his own children,
but he watched over your word
and guarded your covenant.(X)
10 He teaches(Y) your precepts to Jacob
and your law to Israel.(Z)
He offers incense before you(AA)
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.(AB)
11 Bless all his skills, Lord,
and be pleased with the work of his hands.(AC)
Strike down those who rise against him,
his foes till they rise no more.”
12 About Benjamin(AD) he said:
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him,(AE)
for he shields him all day long,(AF)
and the one the Lord loves(AG) rests between his shoulders.(AH)”
13 About Joseph(AI) he said:
“May the Lord bless his land
with the precious dew from heaven above
and with the deep waters that lie below;(AJ)
14 with the best the sun brings forth
and the finest the moon can yield;
15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains(AK)
and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.(AL)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among[e] his brothers.(AM)
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;
his horns(AN) are the horns of a wild ox.(AO)
With them he will gore(AP) the nations,
even those at the ends of the earth.
Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;(AQ)
such are the thousands of Manasseh.(AR)”
18 About Zebulun(AS) he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
and you, Issachar,(AT) in your tents.
19 They will summon peoples to the mountain(AU)
and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous;(AV)
they will feast on the abundance of the seas,(AW)
on the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20 About Gad(AX) he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain!(AY)
Gad lives there like a lion,
tearing at arm or head.
21 He chose the best land for himself;(AZ)
the leader’s portion was kept for him.(BA)
When the heads of the people assembled,
he carried out the Lord’s righteous will,(BB)
and his judgments concerning Israel.”
22 About Dan(BC) he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,
springing out of Bashan.”
23 About Naphtali(BD) he said:
“Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord
and is full of his blessing;
he will inherit southward to the lake.”
24 About Asher(BE) he said:
“Most blessed of sons is Asher;
let him be favored by his brothers,
and let him bathe his feet in oil.(BF)
25 The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,(BG)
and your strength will equal your days.(BH)
26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,(BI)
who rides(BJ) across the heavens to help you(BK)
and on the clouds(BL) in his majesty.(BM)
27 The eternal(BN) God is your refuge,(BO)
and underneath are the everlasting(BP) arms.
He will drive out your enemies before you,(BQ)
saying, ‘Destroy them!’(BR)
28 So Israel will live in safety;(BS)
Jacob will dwell[f] secure
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens drop dew.(BT)
29 Blessed are you, Israel!(BU)
Who is like you,(BV)
a people saved by the Lord?(BW)
He is your shield and helper(BX)
and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
and you will tread on their heights.(BY)”
