Het Boek
6,7 Iedere Leviet, waar hij ook leeft in Israël, heeft het recht naar het heiligdom te gaan op de tijd die hij zelf kiest en daar te dienen in de naam van de Here, net als zijn broeders, de Levieten, die daar geregeld hun werk doen. 8 Zijn deel van de offers zal hem als een recht worden gegeven, niet alleen als hij het nodig heeft.
9 Wanneer u in het beloofde land aankomt, moet u ervoor oppassen dat u niets overneemt van de vreselijke gewoonten van de volken die daar nu leven.

7 he may minister in the name(A) of the Lord his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there in the presence of the Lord. 8 He is to share equally in their benefits, even though he has received money from the sale of family possessions.(B)
