¹⁰ Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at ·Mount Sinai [^LHoreb; ^Canother name for Sinai]. He said to me, “·Bring the people together [Assemble the people] so I can ·tell them [^Llet them hear] what I have to say. Then they will ·respect [fear] me ·as long as [^Lall the days] they live in the land, and they will teach these things to their children.”
