You must not worship the Lord your God in their way.(A) But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name(B) there for his dwelling.(C) To that place you must go; there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes(D) and special gifts, what you have vowed(E) to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.(F) There, in the presence(G) of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice(H) in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.

Rehoboam King of Judah(A)

21 Rehoboam son of Solomon was king in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel in which to put his Name. His mother’s name was Naamah; she was an Ammonite.(B)
