⁶ “Yahweh our God ^(A)spoke to us at Horeb, saying, ‘You have ^[a]stayed long enough at this mountain.

⁹ “And I spoke to you at that time, saying, ‘^(A)I am not able to bear the burden of you alone.

¹⁴ Then you answered me and said, ‘The thing which you have said to do is good.’

² Yahweh our God cut ^(A)a covenant with us at Horeb.

^5 (A)I was standing between Yahweh and you at that time, to declare to you the word of Yahweh; ^(B)for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain. ^[a]He said,

² So know this day ^(A)that I am not speaking with your sons who have not known and who have not seen the ^[a]discipline of Yahweh your God—His greatness, His strong hand and His outstretched arm,

⁷ but your own eyes have seen all the great work of Yahweh which He did.
