⁴But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

Deuteronomy 4:4

New International Version

⁴but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today.

²⁰Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

²⁰Fear the Lord your God and serve him.^(A) Hold fast^(B) to him and take your oaths in his name.^(C)

⁴Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

⁴It is the Lord your God you must follow,^(A) and him you must revere.^(B) Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast^(C) to him.
