¹⁰ and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not ^[a]be ^(A)slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.

^9 (A)The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but ^(B)is longsuffering toward ^[a]us, ^(C)not willing that any should perish but ^(D)that all should come to repentance.

The Day of the Lord

¹⁰ But ^(E)the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which ^(F)the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be ^[b]burned up.

¹⁹ Beloved, ^(A)do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ^(B)“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

^23 (A)He who hates Me hates My Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them ^(B)the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have ^(C)seen and also hated both Me and My Father.
