¹⁸ Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight,^(A) so that it may go well^(B) with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors,

⁴⁰ Keep^(A) his decrees and commands,^(B) which I am giving you today, so that it may go well^(C) with you and your children after you and that you may live long^(D) in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.

²⁵ Do not eat it, so that it may go well^(A) with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is right^(B) in the eyes of the Lord.

² Do not conform^(A) to the pattern of this world,^(B) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.^(C) Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is^(D)—his good, pleasing^(E) and perfect will.

²⁹ Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me^(A) and keep all my commands^(B) always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!^(C)

²⁹ The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone,^(A) for I always do what pleases him.”^(B)

¹⁹ And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so.^(A)

¹⁶ None of the sins^(A) that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.^(B)
