Introduction to God’s Law

⁴⁴ Now this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.

¹⁷ For ^(A)the law was given through Moses, but ^(B)grace and ^(C)truth came through Jesus Christ.

^26 (A)‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’

“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”

⁸ And you shall ^(A)write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.”

³ You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have crossed over, that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, ^(A)‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’ just as the Lord God of your fathers promised you.

¹⁸ “Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one ^(A)before the priests, the Levites. ¹⁹ And ^(B)it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,

⁵ On this side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain this law, saying,

¹³ These are the commandments and the judgments which the Lord commanded the children of Israel by the hand of Moses ^(A)in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.
