²⁷ And the Lord ^(A)will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

⁶² You ^(A)shall be left few in number, whereas you were ^(B)as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. ⁶³ And it shall be, that just as the Lord ^(C)rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord ^(D)will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be ^(E)plucked^[a] from off the land which you go to possess.

⁶⁴ “Then the Lord ^(F)will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and ^(G)there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known—wood and stone.

^15 (A)“Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries.

⁸ Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ^(A)‘If you ^[a]are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; ^9 (B)but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, ^(C)though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’

³ And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the ^(A)province are there in great distress and ^(B)reproach. ^(C)The wall of Jerusalem ^(D)is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”
