¹⁶ lest you ^(A)act corruptly and ^(B)make for yourselves a carved image in the ^[a]form of any figure: ^(C)the likeness of male or female,

²⁹ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, ^(A)we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.

²³ Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, ^(A)and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you.

^22 (A)Professing to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and changed the glory of the ^(B)incorruptible ^(C)God into an image made like ^[a]corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

^24 (D)Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, ^(E)to dishonor their bodies ^(F)among themselves,

^24 (A)God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
