⁴ And the Lord said to him, ^(A)“This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ ^(B)I have let you see it with your eyes, but ^(C)you shall not go over there.”

⁵² For ^(A)you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.”

⁷ Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, ^(A)“To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

¹³ And behold, ^(A)the Lord stood above it^[a] and said, ^(B)“I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. ^(C)The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

²⁶ But ^(A)the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the Lord said to me, ^(B)‘Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again. ^27 (C)Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and look at it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.

¹² And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because ^(A)you did not believe in me, ^(B)to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

^3 (A)Sojourn in this land, and ^(B)I will be with you and will bless you, for ^(C)to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(D)the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^(A)“To your offspring I give^[a] this land, from ^(B)the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, ¹⁹ the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, ²⁰ the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, ²¹ the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.”

¹⁵ for all the land that you see I will give ^(A)to you and ^(B)to your offspring forever.
