Moses Dies on Mount Nebo

34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab ^(A)to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is across from Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan,

^49 (A)“Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession;

⁴⁷ And the ^(A)border of the children of Dan went beyond these, because the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem and took it; and they struck it with the edge of the sword, took possession of it, and dwelt in it. They called Leshem, ^(B)Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

¹² Now the Lord said to Moses: ^(B)“Go up into this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.

¹⁰ And he carried me away ^(A)in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me ^(B)the ^[a]great city, the ^[b]holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

^2 (A)In the visions of God He took me into the land of Israel and ^(B)set me on a very high mountain; on it toward the south was something like the structure of a city.

²⁹ And ^(A)they called the name of the city ^(B)Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly was Laish.

⁴ Then the Lord said to him, ^(A)“This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ ^(B)I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.”

^52 (A)Yet you shall see the land before you, though you shall not go there, into the land which I am giving to the children of Israel.”

^27 (A)Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift your eyes toward the west, the north, the south, and the east; behold it with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.
