²⁶ And ^(A)he made from one man every nation of mankind to live ^(B)on all the face of the earth, ^(C)having determined allotted periods and ^(D)the boundaries of their dwelling place,

⁸ So ^(A)the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. ⁹ Therefore its name was called ^(B)Babel, because there the Lord confused^[a] the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

¹⁷ The sentence is by the decree of ^(A)the watchers, the decision by the word of ^(B)the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High ^(C)rules the kingdom of men ^(D)and gives it to whom he will and ^(E)sets over it the lowliest of men.’
