⁵⁰ There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die^(A) and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died^(B) on Mount Hor^(C) and was gathered to his people.

⁸ Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age,^(A) an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.^(B)

¹³ “As for you, go your way till the end.^(A) You will rest,^(B) and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.^(C)”

²⁴ “Aaron will be gathered to his people.^(A) He will not enter the land I give the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against my command^(B) at the waters of Meribah.^{(C) 25} Get Aaron and his son Eleazar and take them up Mount Hor.^{(D) 26} Remove Aaron’s garments^(E) and put them on his son Eleazar, for Aaron will be gathered to his people;^(F) he will die there.”

²⁷ Moses did as the Lord commanded: They went up Mount Hor^(G) in the sight of the whole community. ²⁸ Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar.^(H) And Aaron died there^(I) on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain, ²⁹ and when the whole community learned that Aaron had died,^(J) all the Israelites mourned for him^(K) thirty days.

³³ When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.^(A)

¹⁷ Ishmael lived a hundred and thirty-seven years. He breathed his last and died, and he was gathered to his people.^(A)

¹⁵ You, however, will go to your ancestors^(A) in peace and be buried at a good old age.^(B)
