²² For a fire is kindled by my anger
    and burns to the depths of Sheol;
it devours the earth and its increase
    and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.^(A)

⁸ Therefore wait for me, says the Lord,
    for the day when I arise as a witness.
For my decision is to gather nations,
    to assemble kingdoms,
to pour out upon them my indignation,
    all the heat of my anger,
for in the fire of my passion
    all the earth shall be consumed.^(A)

⁴ Then the mountains will melt under him,
    and the valleys will burst open
like wax near the fire,
    like waters poured down a slope.^(A)

¹⁹ The earth is utterly broken;
    the earth is torn apart;
    the earth is violently shaken.^(A)
20 The earth staggers like a drunkard;
    it sways like a hut;
its transgression lies heavy upon it,
    and it falls and will not rise again.^(B)

¹³ For great is your steadfast love toward me;
    you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.^(A)

⁵ He removes mountains, and they do not know it
    when he overturns them in his anger;
⁶ he shakes the earth out of its place,
    and its pillars tremble;^(A)
