¹² The Lord alone led^(A) him;^(B)
    no foreign god was with him.^(C)

⁵² But he brought his people out like a flock;^(A)
    he led them like sheep through the wilderness.
⁵³ He guided them safely, so they were unafraid;
    but the sea engulfed^(B) their enemies.^(C)

⁴ Even to your old age and gray hairs^(A)
    I am he,^(B) I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
    I will sustain^(C) you and I will rescue you.

¹¹ Then his people recalled^[b] the days of old,
    the days of Moses and his people—
where is he who brought them through the sea,^(J)
    with the shepherd of his flock?^(K)
Where is he who set
    his Holy Spirit^(L) among them,
¹² who sent his glorious arm^(M) of power
    to be at Moses’ right hand,
who divided the waters^(N) before them,
    to gain for himself everlasting renown,^(O)
13 who led^(P) them through the depths?^(Q)
Like a horse in open country,
    they did not stumble;^(R)

¹¹ I, even I, am the Lord,^(A)
    and apart from me there is no savior.^(B)
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
    I, and not some foreign god^(C) among you.
You are my witnesses,^(D)” declares the Lord, “that I am God.

¹⁶ to him who led his people through the wilderness;^(A)
His love endures forever.

¹⁴ He guided them with the cloud by day
    and with light from the fire all night.^(A)
