²⁰ For when I have brought them into the land ^(A)flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and ^(B)grown fat, ^(C)they will turn to other gods and serve them, and ^(D)despise me and ^(E)break my covenant.

²⁵ And they captured ^(A)fortified cities and ^(B)a rich land, and took possession of ^(C)houses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled ^(D)and became fat and delighted themselves in ^(E)your great goodness.

^26 (F)“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you ^(G)and cast your law behind their back ^(H)and killed your prophets, who ^(I)had warned them in order to turn them back to you, ^(J)and they committed great blasphemies.

¹⁰ “And when the Lord your God brings you into the land that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you—with great and good cities ^(A)that you did not build, ¹¹ and houses full of all good things that you did not fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full, ^12 (B)then take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

⁸ and ^(A)I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and ^(B)to bring them up out of that land to a ^(C)good and broad land, a land ^(D)flowing with milk and honey, to the place of ^(E)the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

²⁰ “Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: Behold, I, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

^16 (A)I will seek the lost, ^(B)and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and ^(C)the fat and the strong I will destroy.^[a] I will feed them in justice.
