² he said to them, “I am now one hundred twenty years old. I am no longer able to get about, and the Lord has told me, ‘You shall not cross over this Jordan.’^(A)

⁷ Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died; his sight was unimpaired, and his vigor had not abated.^(A)

¹⁷ who shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep without a shepherd.”^(A)

⁷ And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David, although I am only a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.^(A)

²⁶ But the Lord was angry with me on your account and would not heed me. The Lord said to me, ‘Enough from you! Never speak to me of this matter again!^{(A) 27} Go up to the top of Pisgah and look around you to the west, to the north, to the south, and to the east. Look well, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.^(B)

⁷ Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.^(A)

¹³ I think it right, as long as I am in this body,^[a] to refresh your memory,^{(A) 14} since I know that my death^[b] will come soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.^(B)

²⁵ “And now I know that none of you, among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom, will ever see my face again.^(A)
