²⁰ loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him, for that means life to you and length of days, so that you may live in the land that the Lord swore to give to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”^(A)

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.^[a] Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live,^{(A) 26} and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

²⁰ You shall fear the Lord your God; him you shall serve; to him you shall hold fast; and by his name you shall swear.^(A)

²⁵ nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mortals life and breath and all things.^(A)

³ And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.^(A)

²⁸ For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,

⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.^(A)

⁸ but hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.^(A)
