7 This is what the Lord God showed me: he was forming locusts at the time the latter growth began to sprout (it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings).^{(A) 2} When they had finished eating the grass of the land, I said,

³⁸ “You shall carry much seed into the field but shall gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.^{(A) 39} You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but you shall neither drink the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
