³⁶ “The Lord will ^(A)bring you and your king whom you set over you to a nation that neither you ^(B)nor your fathers have known. And ^(C)there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone.

¹³ Therefore ^(A)I will hurl you out of this land into ^(B)a land that neither you nor your fathers have known, ^(C)and there you shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

^11 (A)And the rest of the people who were left in the city and the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon, together with the rest of the multitude, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried into exile.

²⁸ And ^(A)there you will serve gods of wood and stone, the work of human hands, ^(B)that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

²⁰ He ^(A)took into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, ^(B)and they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia,

^6 (A)Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon ^(B)and bound him in chains ^(C)to take him to Babylon.

⁵ But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in ^(A)the plains of Jericho. And when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, at ^(B)Riblah, in the land of Hamath; ^(C)and he passed sentence on him. ⁶ The king of Babylon ^(D)slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah at ^(E)Riblah before his eyes, and the king of Babylon ^(F)slaughtered all the nobles of Judah. ^7 (G)He put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains to take him to Babylon.

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

^17 (A)Therefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand.

^11 (A)Therefore the Lord brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and ^(B)bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon.

⁶⁴ “And the Lord ^(A)will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and ^(B)there you shall serve other gods ^(C)of wood and stone, ^(D)which neither you nor your fathers have known.
