^{30 [a] (A)}“A man shall not take his father's wife, so that he does not ^(B)uncover his father's nakedness.^[b]

^8 (A)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.

Sexual Immorality Defiles the Church

5 It is actually reported that there is ^(A)sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, ^(B)for a man has his father's wife.

^11 (A)If a man lies with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

¹⁰ In you ^(A)men uncover their fathers' nakedness; in you they violate women who are unclean in their menstrual impurity.

Descendants of Reuben
