¹³ and ^(A)these shall stand on Mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

⁴ Therefore it shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that ^(A)on Mount Ebal you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, and you shall whitewash them with lime.

³³ Then all Israel, with their elders and officers and judges, stood on either side of the ark before the priests, the Levites, ^(A)who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, ^(B)the stranger as well as he who was born among them. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, ^(C)as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

²⁹ Now it shall be, when the Lord your God has brought you into the land which you go to possess, that you shall put the ^(A)blessing on Mount Gerizim and the ^(B)curse on Mount Ebal.

²⁰ And Leah said, “God has endowed me with a good endowment; now my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons.” So she called his name ^[a]Zebulun.

⁶ Then Rachel said, “God has ^(A)judged my case; and He has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name ^[a]Dan. ⁷ And Rachel’s maid Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. ⁸ Then Rachel said, “With ^[b]great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and indeed I have prevailed.” So she called his name ^[c]Naphtali.

⁹ When Leah saw that she had stopped bearing, she took Zilpah her maid and ^(B)gave her to Jacob as wife. ¹⁰ And Leah’s maid Zilpah bore Jacob a son. ¹¹ Then Leah said, ^[d]“A troop comes!” So she called his name ^[e]Gad. ¹² And Leah’s maid Zilpah bore Jacob a second son. ¹³ Then Leah said, “I am happy, for the daughters ^(C)will call me blessed.” So she called his name ^[f]Asher.

³² So Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name ^[a]Reuben; for she said, “The Lord has surely ^(A)looked on my affliction. Now therefore, my husband will love me.”
