^9 (A)Remember what the Lord your God did ^(B)to Miriam on the way when you came out of Egypt!

¹⁰ And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, ^(A)suddenly Miriam became ^(B)leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper. ¹¹ So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please ^(C)do not lay ^[a]this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. ¹² Please ^(D)do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”

¹³ So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please ^(E)heal her, O God, I pray!”

¹⁴ Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but ^(F)spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be ^(G)shut^[b] out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” ^15 (H)So Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not journey till Miriam was brought in again.

¹¹ Now ^[a]all these things happened to them as examples, and ^(A)they were written for our ^[b]admonition, ^(B)upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

⁶ Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as ^(A)they also lusted.

²⁰ And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on his forehead, he was leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also ^(A)hurried to get out, because the Lord had struck him.

^21 (B)King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He dwelt in an ^(C)isolated house, because he was a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the Lord. Then Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

³ Now there were four leprous men ^(A)at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?

² “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every ^(A)leper, everyone who has a ^(B)discharge, and whoever becomes ^(C)defiled ^[a]by a corpse.
