⁶ “If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, ^(A)you shall not take the mother with the young;

²⁸ Whether it is a cow or ewe, do not kill both her ^(A)and her young on the same day.

⁶ “Are not five sparrows sold for two ^[a]copper coins? And ^(A)not one of them is forgotten before God.

¹⁷ Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and ^(A)be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
