^19 (A)then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so ^(B)you shall put away the evil from among you.

Darius Honors God

²⁴ And the king gave the command, ^(A)and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, ^(B)their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.

²⁴ then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he ^(A)humbled his neighbor’s wife; ^(B)so you shall put away the evil from among you.

⁷ The hands of the witnesses shall be the first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from among ^(A)you.

¹⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, ^(A)and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not be in this land’—‘By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!

⁷ “If a man is ^(A)found ^[a]kidnapping any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats him or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die; ^(B)and you shall put away the evil from among you.

²¹ then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with ^(A)stones, because she has ^(B)done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house. ^(C)So you shall ^[a]put away the evil from among you.

²⁰ And they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ ²¹ Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; ^(A)so you shall put away the evil from among you, ^(B)and all Israel shall hear and fear.
