¹⁹ I myself will call to account^(A) anyone who does not listen^(B) to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.^(C)

²⁶ If we deliberately keep on sinning^(A) after we have received the knowledge of the truth,^(B) no sacrifice for sins is left,

³ how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?^(A) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,^(B) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.^(C)

²² For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.^{(A) 23} Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’^[a](B)

²⁵ See to it that you do not refuse^(A) him who speaks.^(B) If they did not escape when they refused him who warned^(C) them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?^{(D) 26} At that time his voice shook the earth,^(E) but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”^[a](F)

Warning Against Unbelief

⁷ So, as the Holy Spirit says:^(A)

¹⁶ Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.^(A)
