⁸ For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly^(A) to the Lord your God and do no work.^(B)

¹⁷ On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days^(A) eat bread made without yeast.^{(B) 18} On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^{(C) 19} Present to the Lord a food offering^(D) consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^(E)

³⁶ For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly^(A) and present a food offering to the Lord.^(B) It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.

⁶ On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread^(A) begins; for seven days^(B) you must eat bread made without yeast. ⁷ On the first day hold a sacred assembly^(C) and do no regular work. ⁸ For seven days present a food offering to the Lord.^(D) And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.’”

⁶ For seven days eat bread made without yeast and on the seventh day hold a festival^(A) to the Lord. ⁷ Eat unleavened bread during those seven days; nothing with yeast in it is to be seen among you, nor shall any yeast be seen anywhere within your borders. ⁸ On that day tell your son,^(B) ‘I do this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’

¹⁵ For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast.^(A) On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off^(B) from Israel. ¹⁶ On the first day hold a sacred assembly, and another one on the seventh day. Do no work^(C) at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat; that is all you may do.

⁹ On the eighth day they held an assembly, for they had celebrated^(A) the dedication of the altar for seven days and the festival^(B) for seven days more.

¹⁸ Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read^(A) from the Book of the Law^(B) of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation,^(C) there was an assembly.^(D)
