¹⁷ Every man shall give as he is able, ^(A)according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you.

The Cheerful Giver

^6 (A)But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows ^[a]bountifully will also reap ^[b]bountifully. ⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(B)not grudgingly or of ^[c]necessity; for ^(C)God loves a cheerful giver.

¹² For ^(A)if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

¹⁰ Then you shall keep the ^(A)Feast of Weeks to the Lord your God with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give ^(B)as the Lord your God blesses you.

⁸ ‘But if he is too poor to pay your valuation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall set a value for ^(A)him; according to the ability of him who vowed, the priest shall value him.

The Widow’s Two Mites^(A)

^41 (B)Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money ^(C)into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. ⁴² Then one poor widow came and threw in two ^[a]mites, which make a ^[b]quadrans. ⁴³ So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that ^(D)this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; ⁴⁴ for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, ^(E)her whole livelihood.”

⁶³ And the ^[a]governor said to them that they ^(A)should not eat of the most holy things till a priest could consult with the ^(B)Urim and Thummim.
