⁶ For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; ^(A)you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

¹² The Lord will open to you His good ^[a]treasure, the heavens, ^(A)to give the rain to your land in its season, and ^(B)to bless all the work of your hand. ^(C)You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. ¹³ And the Lord will make ^(D)you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you ^[b]heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

³⁵ But ^(A)love your enemies, ^(B)do good, and ^(C)lend, ^[a]hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and ^(D)you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

²¹ So ^(A)Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from ^(B)the^[a] River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. ^(C)They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
