¹⁸ It shall not seem hard to you when you let him go free from you, for at half the cost of a hired worker he has served you six years. So the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.

Unworthy Servants

⁷ “Will any one of you who has a servant^[a] plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? ⁸ Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and ^(A)dress properly,^[b] and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?

¹⁶ For thus the Lord said to me, “Within a year, ^(A)according to the years of a hired worker, all the glory of ^(B)Kedar will come to an end.

¹⁴ But now the Lord has spoken, saying, “In three years, ^(A)like the years of a hired worker, the glory of Moab will be brought into contempt, in spite of all his great multitude, and those who remain will be ^(B)very few and feeble.”
