²⁷ As for the Levites resident in your towns, do not neglect them, because they have no allotment or inheritance with you.^(A)

²⁰ Then the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no allotment in their land, nor shall you have any share among them; I am your share and your possession among the Israelites.^(A)

²⁹ the Levites, because they have no allotment or inheritance with you, as well as the resident aliens, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, may come and eat their fill so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work that you undertake.^(A)

¹² And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you together with your sons and your daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites who reside in your towns (since they have no allotment or inheritance with you).^(A)

¹⁷ Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor,^[a] especially those who labor in preaching and teaching,^(A)

⁶ Those who are taught the word must share in all good things with their teacher.^(A)

Privileges of Priests and Levites

18 “The Levitical priests, the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no allotment or inheritance within Israel. They may eat the offerings by fire^[a] that are the Lord’s portion,^{[b](A) 2} but they shall have no inheritance among the other members of the community; the Lord is their inheritance, as he promised them.

¹⁸ these you shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God at the place that the Lord your God will choose, you together with your son and your daughter, your male and female slaves, and the Levites resident in your towns, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord your God in all your undertakings.^{(A) 19} Take care that you do not neglect the Levite as long as you live in your land.^(B)
