^13 [a]‘Corrupt men have gone out from among you and enticed the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods” ’—which you have not known—

² and ^(A)the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’

^19 (A)They went out from us, but they were not of us; for ^(B)if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out ^(C)that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

¹³ And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels ^(A)witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, “Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” ^(B)Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.

The Rebellion of Sheba

¹⁷ Now therefore, know and consider what you will do, for ^(A)harm is determined against our master and against all his household. For he is such a ^(B)scoundrel^[a] that one cannot speak to him.”
