²⁷ Present your burnt offerings^(A) on the altar of the Lord your God, both the meat and the blood. The blood of your sacrifices must be poured beside the altar of the Lord your God, but you may eat^(B) the meat.

¹¹ For the life of a creature is in the blood,^(A) and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.^[a](B)

¹³ You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water,^(A) and the priest is to bring all of them and burn them^(B) on the altar.^(C) It is a burnt offering,^(D) a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

⁵ You are to slaughter^(A) the young bull^(B) before the Lord, and then Aaron’s sons^(C) the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar^(D) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

³⁰ Then the priest is to take some of the blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering^(A) and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
