¹² And ^(A)you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male and female servants, and the ^(B)Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

⁷ And ^(A)there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and ^(B)you shall rejoice in ^[a]all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

¹² “When you have finished laying aside all the ^(A)tithe of your increase in the third year—^(B)the year of tithing—and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled,

^9 (A)Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; the Lord is his inheritance, just as the Lord your God promised him.)

²⁹ And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

^19 [a]Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

Praise to God for His Word and Providence

²¹ So the children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept ^(A)the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments. ²² And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites ^(B)who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and ^(C)making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

²³ Then the whole assembly agreed to keep the feast ^(D)another seven days, and they kept it another seven days with gladness. ²⁴ For Hezekiah king of Judah ^(E)gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the leaders gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests ^(F)sanctified^[a] themselves. ²⁵ The whole assembly of Judah rejoiced, also the priests and Levites, all the assembly that came from Israel, the sojourners ^(G)who came from the land of Israel, and those who dwelt in Judah. ²⁶ So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of ^(H)Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem.

³⁶ Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly.
