¹⁰ But when ^(A)you go over the Jordan and live in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, ^(B)and when he gives you rest from all your enemies around, so that you live in safety,

^28 (A)They shall no more be a prey to the nations, ^(B)nor shall the beasts of the land devour them. ^(C)They shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid.

^11 (A)the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring ^(B)thank offerings to the house of the Lord:

^(D)For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

³¹ For you are ^(A)to cross over the Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you. And when you possess it and live in it,

²² For I must die in this land; ^(A)I must not go over the Jordan. But you shall go over and take possession of ^(B)that good land.

^27 (A)Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and look at it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.

^8 (A)After many days you will be mustered. ^(B)In the latter years you will go against ^(C)the land that is restored from war, the land whose people ^(D)were gathered from many peoples upon ^(E)the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual waste. Its people were brought out from the peoples and ^(F)now dwell securely, all of them.

The Lord's Covenant of Peace

^25 (A)“I will make with them a covenant of peace and ^(B)banish wild beasts from the land, ^(C)so that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

^26 (A)And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, ^(B)when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors ^(C)who have treated them with contempt. ^(D)Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”
