²⁴ Every place where you set your foot will be yours:^(A) Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River^(B) to the Mediterranean Sea.

⁹ So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance^(A) and that of your children^(B) forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’^[a]

³¹ “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea^[a] to the Mediterranean Sea,^[b] and from the desert to the Euphrates River.^(A) I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out^(B) before you.

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram^(A) and said, “To your descendants I give this land,^(B) from the Wadi^[a] of Egypt^(C) to the great river, the Euphrates^(D)— ¹⁹ the land of the Kenites,^(E) Kenizzites, Kadmonites, ²⁰ Hittites,^(F) Perizzites,^(G) Rephaites,^{(H) 21} Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”^(I)

²¹ And Solomon ruled^(A) over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River^(B) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.^(C) These countries brought tribute^(D) and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

³ I will give you every place where you set your foot,^(A) as I promised Moses.^{(B) 4} Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon,^(C) and from the great river, the Euphrates^(D)—all the Hittite^(E) country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.^(F)

²⁶ He ruled^(A) over all the kings from the Euphrates River^(B) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.^(C)

²⁴ For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah^(A) to Gaza, and had peace^(B) on all sides.

³ “‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin^(A) along the border of Edom. Your southern boundary will start in the east from the southern end of the Dead Sea,^{(B) 4} cross south of Scorpion Pass,^(C) continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea.^(D) Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,^{(E) 5} where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt^(F) and end at the Mediterranean Sea.

⁶ “‘Your western boundary will be the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.^(G) This will be your boundary on the west.^(H)

⁷ “‘For your northern boundary,^(I) run a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor^{(J) 8} and from Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath.^(K) Then the boundary will go to Zedad, ⁹ continue to Ziphron and end at Hazar Enan. This will be your boundary on the north.

¹⁰ “‘For your eastern boundary,^(L) run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham. ¹¹ The boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah^(M) on the east side of Ain^(N) and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee.^{[a](O) 12} Then the boundary will go down along the Jordan and end at the Dead Sea.

“‘This will be your land, with its boundaries on every side.’”

¹³ Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot^(P) as an inheritance.^(Q) The Lord has ordered that it be given to the nine and a half tribes, ¹⁴ because the families of the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.^{(R) 15} These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance east of the Jordan across from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
