²² “For if ^(A)you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and ^(B)to hold fast to Him—

¹³ ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly ^[a]obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

¹⁷ You shall ^(A)diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.

^20 (A)You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and ^(A)keep His commandments. ^3 (B)For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And ^(C)His commandments are not burdensome.

⁸ Finally, there is laid up for me ^(A)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous ^(B)Judge, will give to me ^(C)on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

² For I am ^(A)jealous for you with godly jealousy. For ^(B)I have betrothed you to one husband, ^(C)that I may present you ^(D)as a chaste virgin to Christ. ³ But I fear, lest somehow, as ^(E)the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds ^(F)may be corrupted from the ^[a]simplicity that is in Christ.

²³ When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and ^(A)encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.

³⁷ Jesus said to him, ^(A)“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

²⁰ that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your ^(A)life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
