¹³ and to keep the commandments of the Lord and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.

³⁹ I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for all time, for their own good and the good of their children after them.^(A)

²⁴ Then the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our lasting good, so as to keep us alive, as is now the case.^(A)

²⁵ But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing.^(A)
