⁵ Beyond the Jordan, ^(A)in the land of Moab, Moses undertook to explain this law, saying,

⁴⁶ he said to them, ^(A)“Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, ^(B)that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law.

The Reading of the Law

⁹ Then Moses ^(A)wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, ^(B)who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.

¹⁸ “And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, ^(A)he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, ^(B)approved by^[a] the Levitical priests. ¹⁹ And ^(C)it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, ^(D)that he may learn to fear the Lord his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them,

⁸ And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so ^(A)righteous as all this law that I set before you today?
