¹⁹ Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,

¹¹ Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!^(A) Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles^(B) to make Israel envious.^{(C) 12} But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles,^(D) how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!

¹³ I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles,^(E) I take pride in my ministry ¹⁴ in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy^(F) and save^(G) some of them.

²⁶ He followed completely the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat, committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused^(A) Israel to commit, so that they aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, by their worthless idols.^(B)
