¹² Then our sons in their youth
    will be like well-nurtured plants,^(A)
and our daughters will be like pillars^(B)
    carved to adorn a palace.
¹³ Our barns will be filled^(C)
    with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by thousands,
    by tens of thousands in our fields;
¹⁴     our oxen^(D) will draw heavy loads.^[a]
There will be no breaching of walls,^(E)
    no going into captivity,
    no cry of distress in our streets.^(F)
15 Blessed is the people^(G) of whom this is true;
    blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.

²¹ They will build houses^(A) and dwell in them;
    they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.^(B)
22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them,^(C)
    or plant and others eat.
For as the days of a tree,^(D)
    so will be the days^(E) of my people;
my chosen^(F) ones will long enjoy
    the work of their hands.
²³ They will not labor in vain,^(G)
    nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune;^(H)
for they will be a people blessed^(I) by the Lord,
    they and their descendants^(J) with them.
