12 "Në atë kohë do të dalë Mikaeli, princi i madh, mbrojtësi i bijve të popullit tënd; dhe do të jetë një kohë me ankthe, ashtu si nuk ka pasur kurrë që kur se ekzistojnë kombet e deri në atë kohë.
2 Shumë nga ata që flenë në pluhurin e tokës do të zgjohen, disa në një jetë të përjetshme, të tjerë në turpin dhe në poshtërsi të përjetshme.
3 Ata që kanë dituri do të shkëlqejnë si shkëlqimi i kupës qiellore dhe ata që do të kenë çuar shumë në drejtësi, do të shkëlqejnë si yjet përjetë.
4 Por ti, Daniel, mbaji të fshehura këto fjalë dhe vulose librin deri në kohën e mbarimit; shumë njerëz do ta shfletojnë dhe dituria do të shtohet".
5 Pastaj unë, Danieli, shikova, dhe ja, dy të tjerë më këmbë, njeri mbi këtë breg të lumit, dhe tjetri mbi bregun tjetër të lumit.
6 Një nga ata i tha burrit të veshur me rroba liri, që qëndronte mbi ujërat e lumit: "Kur do kryhen këto mrekulli?".
7 Unë dëgjova atëherë burrin e veshur me rroba liri që qëndronte mbi ujërat e lumit, i cili, ngriti dorën e djathtë dhe dorën e majtë drejt qiellit, u betua për atë që jeton përjtë se kjo do të jetë për një kohë, për disa kohëra dhe për gjysmën e një kohë; kur forca e popullit të shenjtë do të thyhet plotësisht, tërë këto gjëra do të kryhen.
8 Unë dëgjova, por nuk kuptova, prandaj pyeta: "Imzot, cili do të jetë fundi i këtyre gjërave?".
9 Ai u përgjigj: "Shko, Daniel, sepse këto fjalë janë të fshehura dhe të vulosura deri kohën e mbarimit.
10 Shumë njerëz do të pastrohen, do të zbardhen dhe do të përsosen; por të pabesët do të veprojnë me pabesi dhe asnjë nga të pabesët nuk do të kuptojë, por do të kuptojnë njerëzit e ditur.
11 Nga koha që do të ndalohet flijimi i përditshëm dhe do të ngrihet neveria që shkakton shkretimin do të kalojnë njëmijë e dyqind e nëntëdhjetë ditë.
12 Lum ai që pret dhe arrin në njëmijë e treqind e tridhjetë e pesë ditë.
13 Por ti shko drejt mbarimit tënd; do të prehesh dhe pastaj do të ngrihesh përsëri për të marrë pjesën tënde të trashëgimisë në mbarim të ditëve".

12 »A cette époque-là se dressera Michel, le grand chef, celui qui veille sur les enfants de ton peuple. *Ce sera une période de détresse telle qu'il n'y en aura pas eu de pareille depuis qu’une nation existe jusqu'à cette époque-là.[a] A ce moment-là, ceux de ton peuple qu’on trouvera inscrits dans le livre seront sauvés. 2 Beaucoup de ceux qui dorment dans la poussière de la terre se réveilleront, les uns pour la vie éternelle, les autres pour la honte, pour l'horreur éternelle. 3 Ceux qui auront été perspicaces brilleront comme la splendeur du ciel, et ceux qui auront enseigné la justice à beaucoup brilleront comme les étoiles, pour toujours et à perpétuité. 4 Quant à toi, Daniel, tiens ces paroles cachées et marque le livre du sceau du secret jusqu'au moment de la fin! Beaucoup seront perplexes, mais la connaissance augmentera.»
5 Moi, Daniel, je regardais et j’ai vu deux autres hommes se tenir debout, l’un sur une rive du fleuve, l’autre sur l’autre rive. 6 L'un d'eux a dit à l'homme habillé de lin, qui se tenait au-dessus de l’eau du fleuve: «Quand viendra la fin de ces événements extraordinaires?» 7 Et j'ai entendu l'homme habillé de lin, celui qui se tenait au-dessus de l’eau du fleuve: il a levé sa main droite et sa main gauche vers le ciel et il a juré par celui qui vit éternellement que ce serait dans un temps, deux temps et la moitié d'un temps, et que tout cela prendrait fin quand la force du peuple saint serait entièrement épuisée.
8 J'ai entendu, mais sans comprendre, et j’ai dit: «Mon seigneur, quelle sera l'issue de tout cela?» 9 Il a répondu: «Vas-y, Daniel, car ces paroles seront tenues cachées et marquées du sceau du secret jusqu'au moment de la fin. 10 Beaucoup seront purifiés, épurés et affinés. Les méchants feront le mal et aucun d’eux ne comprendra, tandis que ceux qui seront perspicaces comprendront. 11 Depuis le moment où le sacrifice perpétuel sera supprimé et où l’abominable dévastation sera dressée, il y aura 1290 jours. 12 Heureux celui qui attendra et qui arrivera jusqu'à 1335 jours! 13 Quant à toi, marche vers ta fin! Tu te reposeras et tu seras debout pour recevoir ton héritage à la fin des jours.»

12 “At that time Michael,(A) the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress(B) such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book(C)—will be delivered.(D) 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake:(E) some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.(F) 3 Those who are wise[a](G) will shine(H) like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness,(I) like the stars for ever and ever.(J) 4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal(K) the words of the scroll until the time of the end.(L) Many will go here and there(M) to increase knowledge.”
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.(N) 6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen,(O) who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”(P)
7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand(Q) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,(R) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.[b](S) When the power of the holy people(T) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.(U)”
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed(V) until the time of the end.(W) 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined,(X) but the wicked will continue to be wicked.(Y) None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.(Z)
11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice(AA) is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation(AB) is set up, there will be 1,290 days.(AC) 12 Blessed is the one who waits(AD) for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.(AE)
13 “As for you, go your way till the end.(AF) You will rest,(AG) and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.(AH)”
