Oración de Daniel
9 «Era el primer año del reinado de Darío, hijo de Asuero[a] y descendiente de los medos, quien llegó a ser el gobernante del reino de los babilonios.[b] 2 En su primer año de reinado, yo, Daniel, comprendí ese pasaje de las Escrituras[c] donde el Señor comunicó al profeta Jeremías que la ruina de Jerusalén duraría setenta años. 3 Entonces me puse a orar y a dirigir mis súplicas al Señor mi Dios. Además de orar, ayuné y me vestí de luto y me senté sobre cenizas.
4 »Esta fue la oración y confesión que hice al Señor:
»“Señor, Dios grande y temible, que cumples tu pacto de fidelidad con los que te aman y obedecen tus mandamientos: 5 Hemos pecado y hecho lo malo; hemos sido malvados y rebeldes; nos hemos apartado de tus mandamientos y de tus leyes. 6 No hemos prestado atención a tus siervos los profetas que, en tu nombre, hablaron a nuestros reyes y príncipes, a nuestros antepasados y a todos los habitantes de la tierra.
7 »”Señor, tuya es la justicia y nuestra es la vergüenza. Sí, nosotros, pueblo de Judá, habitantes de Jerusalén y de todo Israel, tanto los que vivimos cerca como los que se hallan lejos, en todos los países por los que nos has dispersado por haberte sido infieles. 8 Señor, tanto nosotros como nuestros reyes y príncipes, y nuestros antepasados, cargamos con la vergüenza por haber pecado contra ti. 9 Pero aun cuando nos hemos rebelado contra ti, tú, Señor nuestro, eres un Dios compasivo y perdonador.
10 »”Señor y Dios nuestro, no hemos obedecido ni seguido tus leyes, las cuales nos diste por medio de tus siervos los profetas. 11 Todo Israel ha transgredido tu Ley y se alejaron cuando rechazaron obedecerte. Por eso, las maldiciones y los juicios escritos en la Ley de Moisés, siervo de Dios, han sido derramadas sobre nosotros, porque pecamos contra ti. 12 Tú has cumplido las advertencias que hiciste a nuestros gobernantes y a nosotros; has traído sobre nosotros esta gran calamidad. Jamás ha ocurrido bajo el cielo nada semejante a lo que sucedió con Jerusalén.
13 »”Señor y Dios nuestro, todo este desastre nos ha sobrevenido, tal y como está escrito en la Ley de Moisés, y ni aun así hemos buscado tu favor. No nos hemos apartado de nuestros pecados ni hemos prestado atención a tu verdad.
14 »”El Señor no dudó en traer sobre nosotros esta calamidad; porque el Señor nuestro Dios es justo en todo lo que hace, y aun así no obedecimos.
15 »”Y ahora, Señor y Dios nuestro, que con mano poderosa sacaste de Egipto a tu pueblo y te has hecho un nombre que permanece hasta este día, nosotros hemos pecado y hecho lo malo. 16 Señor, de acuerdo con tus actos justos, por favor aparta tu ira y tu furor de Jerusalén, tu ciudad y tu monte santo. Por nuestros pecados y por la iniquidad de nuestros antepasados, Jerusalén y tu pueblo son objeto de burla de cuantos nos rodean.
17 »”Y ahora, Dios nuestro, escucha las oraciones y súplicas de este siervo tuyo. Por causa de tu nombre, Señor, haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre[d] tu santuario que ha quedado desolado. 18 Préstanos oído, Dios nuestro; abre los ojos y mira nuestra ruina y la ciudad sobre la cual se invoca tu Nombre. Al hacerte estas peticiones, no apelamos a nuestra rectitud, sino a tu gran misericordia. 19 ¡Señor, escúchanos! ¡Señor, perdónanos! ¡Señor, atiéndenos y actúa! Dios mío, hazlo por tu honor y no tardes más; tu Nombre se invoca sobre tu ciudad y sobre tu pueblo”.
Las setenta semanas
20 »Yo seguí hablando y orando al Señor mi Dios. Le confesé mi pecado y el de mi pueblo Israel y supliqué en favor de su santo monte. 21 Mientras seguía orando, Gabriel, a quien había visto en mi visión anterior, se me acercó volando rápidamente, como a la hora del sacrificio de la tarde. 22 Me hizo la siguiente aclaración:
»“Daniel, he venido en este momento para que entiendas todo con claridad. 23 Tan pronto como comenzaste a orar, hubo una respuesta que vine a decirte, porque eres muy apreciado. Presta, pues, atención a mis palabras, para que entiendas la visión.
24 »”Setenta semanas[e] han sido decretadas para que tu pueblo y tu santa ciudad pongan fin a las transgresiones y pecados, pidan perdón por la maldad, establezcan para siempre la justicia, sellen la visión y la profecía y consagren el Lugar Santísimo.[f]
25 »”Entiende bien lo siguiente: Habrá siete semanas desde la promulgación del decreto que ordena la reconstrucción de Jerusalén hasta la llegada del Príncipe Ungido. Luego habrá sesenta y dos semanas más. Entonces será reconstruida Jerusalén, con sus calles y trincheras, pero en tiempos difíciles. 26 Después de las sesenta y dos semanas se le quitará la vida al Ungido y se quedará sin nada. La ciudad y el santuario serán destruidos por el pueblo de un príncipe que vendrá. El fin vendrá como una inundación, la destrucción no cesará[g] hasta que termine la guerra. 27 Durante una semana ese gobernante hará un pacto con muchos, pero a media semana pondrá fin a los sacrificios y ofrendas. Y en el Templo[h] establecerá la abominación que causa destrucción, hasta que sobrevenga el desastroso fin que le ha sido decretado”».

9 »Darío, hijo de Asuero, de la raza de los medos, gobernaba el reino de los caldeos. 2 En el primer año de su reinado, yo, Daniel, estaba estudiando en el libro del profeta Jeremías acerca de los setenta años que debían pasar para que se cumpliera la ruina de Jerusalén, según el Señor se lo había dicho al profeta. 3 Y dirigí mis oraciones y súplicas a Dios el Señor, ayunando y vistiéndome con ropas ásperas, y sentándome en ceniza. 4 Oré al Señor mi Dios, y le hice esta confesión:
»“Señor, Dios grande y poderoso, que siempre cumples tus promesas y das pruebas de tu amor a los que te aman y cumplen tus mandamientos: 5 hemos pecado y cometido maldad; hemos hecho lo malo; hemos vivido sin tomarte en cuenta; hemos abandonado tus mandamientos y decretos. 6 No hemos hecho caso a tus siervos los profetas, los cuales hablaron en tu nombre a nuestros reyes, jefes y antepasados, y a todo el pueblo de Israel. 7 Tú, Señor, eres justo, pero nosotros los judíos nos sentimos hoy avergonzados; tanto los que viven en Jerusalén como los otros israelitas, los de cerca y los de lejos, que viven en los países adonde tú los arrojaste por haberse rebelado contra ti. 8 Nosotros, Señor, lo mismo que nuestros reyes, jefes y antepasados, nos sentimos avergonzados porque hemos pecado contra ti. 9 Pero de ti, Dios nuestro, es propio el ser compasivo y perdonar. Nosotros nos hemos rebelado contra ti 10 y no te hemos escuchado, Señor y Dios nuestro, ni hemos obedecido las enseñanzas que nos diste por medio de tus siervos los profetas. 11 Todo Israel desobedeció tus enseñanzas y se negó a obedecer tus órdenes; por eso han caído sobre nosotros la maldición y el juramento que están escritos en la ley de Moisés, tu siervo, porque hemos pecado contra ti. 12 Tú, al enviarnos una calamidad tan grande, has cumplido la amenaza que nos hiciste a nosotros y a los que nos gobernaron; pues jamás ha habido en el mundo nada comparable al castigo que ha caído sobre Jerusalén. 13 Todo este mal ha venido sobre nosotros, tal como está escrito en la ley de Moisés; pero nosotros no te hemos buscado, Señor y Dios nuestro, ni hemos abandonado nuestras maldades, ni hemos seguido tu verdad. 14 Por eso, Señor, has preparado este mal y lo has enviado sobre nosotros; porque tú, Señor y Dios nuestro, eres justo en todo lo que haces; pero nosotros no quisimos escucharte.
15 »”Señor y Dios nuestro, tú mostraste tu gran poder al sacar de Egipto a tu pueblo, haciendo así famoso tu nombre desde aquellos días hasta hoy; pero nosotros hemos pecado y hemos hecho lo malo. 16 Señor, sabemos que eres bondadoso. Por favor, aparta de Jerusalén tu ira y furor, porque ella es tu ciudad, tu monte santo. Toda la gente de las naciones vecinas se burla de Jerusalén y de tu pueblo, por culpa de nuestros pecados y de los de nuestros antepasados. 17 Dios nuestro, escucha la oración y las súplicas de este siervo tuyo; por tu nombre, Señor, mira con amor la triste situación en que ha quedado tu templo. 18 Atiende, Dios mío, y escucha; mira con atención nuestra ruina y la de la ciudad donde se invoca tu nombre. No te hacemos nuestras súplicas confiados en la rectitud de nuestra vida, sino en tu gran compasión. 19 ¡Señor, Señor! ¡Escúchanos, perdónanos! ¡Atiéndenos, Señor, y ven a ayudarnos! ¡Por ti mismo, Dios mío, y por tu ciudad y tu pueblo, que invocan tu nombre, no tardes!”
Profecía de las setenta semanas
20 »Yo seguí orando y confesando mis pecados y los de mi pueblo Israel, y presentando mis súplicas al Señor mi Dios por su monte santo. 21 Mientras yo oraba, Gabriel, que se me había aparecido antes en la visión, vino volando a donde yo estaba. Era casi la hora de ofrecer a Dios el sacrificio de la tarde. 22 Y me dijo:
»“Daniel, he venido ahora para hacerte entender estas cosas. 23 En cuanto comenzaste a orar, Dios te respondió. Yo he venido para darte su respuesta, porque Dios te quiere mucho. Ahora, pues, pon mucha atención a lo siguiente, para que entiendas la visión:
24 »”Setenta semanas han de pasar
sobre tu pueblo y tu ciudad santa
para poner fin a la rebelión y al pecado,
para obtener el perdón por la maldad
y establecer la justicia para siempre,
para que se cumplan la visión y la profecía
y se consagre el Santísimo.
25 Debes saber y entender esto:
Desde el momento en que se ordene
restaurar y reconstruir Jerusalén,
hasta la llegada del jefe consagrado,
han de pasar siete semanas,
y las calles y murallas reconstruidas de Jerusalén
durarán sesenta y dos semanas,
pero serán tiempos de mucha angustia.
26 Después de las sesenta y dos semanas
le quitarán la vida al jefe consagrado.
Jerusalén y el templo serán destruidos
por la gente de un rey que vendrá.
El fin llegará de pronto, como una inundación,
y hasta el fin seguirán la guerra y las destrucciones
que han sido determinadas.
27 Durante una semana más,
él hará un pacto con mucha gente,
pero a mitad de la semana
pondrá fin a los sacrificios y las ofrendas.
Y un horrible sacrilegio se cometerá
ante el altar de los sacrificios,
hasta que la destrucción determinada
caiga sobre el autor de estos horrores.”»

9 «En el primer año de Darío hijo de Asuero, de la nación de los medos, que vino a ser rey sobre el reino de los caldeos, 2 en el primer año de su reinado, yo, Daniel, miré atentamente en los libros el número de los años de que habló Jehová al profeta Jeremías, en los que habían de cumplirse las desolaciones de Jerusalén: setenta años. 3 Volví mi rostro a Dios, el Señor, buscándolo en oración y ruego, en ayuno, ropas ásperas y ceniza. 4 Oré a Jehová, mi Dios, e hice confesión diciendo: “Ahora, Señor, Dios grande, digno de ser temido, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia con los que te aman y guardan tus mandamientos, 5 hemos pecado, hemos cometido iniquidad, hemos actuado impíamente, hemos sido rebeldes y nos hemos apartado de tus mandamientos y de tus ordenanzas. 6 No hemos obedecido a tus siervos los profetas, que en tu nombre hablaron a nuestros reyes, a nuestros príncipes, a nuestros padres y a todo el pueblo de la tierra. 7 Tuya es, Señor, la justicia, y nuestra la confusión de rostro que en el día de hoy lleva todo hombre de Judá, los habitantes de Jerusalén y todo Israel, los de cerca y los de lejos, en todas las tierras adonde los has echado a causa de su rebelión con que se rebelaron contra ti. 8 Nuestra es, Jehová, la confusión de rostro, y de nuestros reyes, de nuestros príncipes y de nuestros padres, porque contra ti pecamos. 9 De Jehová, nuestro Dios, es el tener misericordia y el perdonar, aunque contra él nos hemos rebelado 10 y no obedecimos a la voz de Jehová, nuestro Dios, para andar en sus leyes, que él puso delante de nosotros por medio de sus siervos los profetas. 11 Todo Israel traspasó tu Ley, apartándose para no obedecer a tu voz. Por lo cual ha caído sobre nosotros la maldición y el juramento que está escrito en la ley de Moisés, siervo de Dios, porque contra Dios pecamos. 12 Y él ha cumplido la palabra que habló contra nosotros y contra nuestros jefes que nos gobernaron, trayendo sobre nosotros tan gran mal; pues nunca fue hecho debajo del cielo nada semejante a lo que se ha hecho contra Jerusalén. 13 Conforme está escrito en la ley de Moisés, todo este mal vino sobre nosotros; pero no hemos implorado el favor de Jehová, nuestro Dios, y no nos hemos convertido de nuestras maldades ni entendido tu verdad. 14 Por tanto, Jehová veló sobre el mal y lo trajo sobre nosotros; porque justo es Jehová, nuestro Dios, en todas sus obras que ha hecho, y nosotros no obedecimos a su voz.
15 »”Ahora pues, Señor, Dios nuestro, que sacaste a tu pueblo de la tierra de Egipto con mano poderosa y te hiciste renombre cual lo tienes hoy, hemos pecado, hemos actuado impíamente. 16 Señor, conforme a todos tus actos de justicia, apártese ahora tu ira y tu furor de sobre tu ciudad Jerusalén, tu santo monte; porque a causa de nuestros pecados y por la maldad de nuestros padres, Jerusalén y tu pueblo son el oprobio de todos los que nos rodean. 17 Ahora pues, Dios nuestro, oye la oración y los ruegos de tu siervo, y haz que tu rostro resplandezca sobre tu santuario asolado, por amor del Señor. 18 Inclina, Dios mío, tu oído, y oye; abre tus ojos y mira nuestras desolaciones y la ciudad sobre la cual es invocado tu nombre; porque no elevamos nuestros ruegos ante ti confiados en nuestras justicias, sino en tus muchas misericordias. 19 ¡Oye, Señor! ¡Señor, perdona! ¡Presta oído, Señor, y hazlo! No tardes, por amor de ti mismo, Dios mío, porque tu nombre es invocado sobre tu ciudad y sobre tu pueblo.”

20 »Aún estaba hablando, orando y confesando mi pecado y el pecado de mi pueblo Israel, y derramaba mi ruego delante de Jehová, mi Dios, por el monte santo de mi Dios; 21 aún estaba hablando en oración, cuando el varón Gabriel, a quien había visto en la visión, al principio, volando con presteza vino a mí como a la hora del sacrificio de la tarde. 22 Me hizo entender, y habló conmigo diciendo: “Daniel, ahora he salido para darte sabiduría y entendimiento. 23 Al principio de tus ruegos fue dada la orden, y yo he venido para enseñártela, porque tú eres muy amado. Entiende, pues, la orden, y entiende la visión.
24 »”Setenta semanas están determinadas
sobre tu pueblo y sobre tu santa ciudad,
para terminar la prevaricación,
poner fin al pecado
y expiar la iniquidad,
para traer la justicia perdurable,
sellar la visión y la profecía
y ungir al Santo de los santos.
25 Sabe, pues, y entiende
que desde la salida de la orden
para restaurar y edificar a Jerusalén
hasta el Mesías Príncipe,
habrá siete semanas y sesenta y dos semanas;
se volverán a edificar la plaza y el muro
en tiempos angustiosos.
26 Después de las sesenta y dos semanas
se quitará la vida al Mesías,
y nada ya le quedará.
El pueblo de un príncipe que ha de venir
destruirá la ciudad y el santuario,

Daniel’s Prayer
9 In the first year of Darius(A) son of Xerxes[a](B) (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian[b] kingdom— 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy(C) years. 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting,(D) and in sackcloth and ashes.(E)
4 I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:(F)
“Lord, the great and awesome God,(G) who keeps his covenant of love(H) with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned(I) and done wrong.(J) We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away(K) from your commands and laws.(L) 6 We have not listened(M) to your servants the prophets,(N) who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors,(O) and to all the people of the land.
7 “Lord, you are righteous,(P) but this day we are covered with shame(Q)—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered(R) us because of our unfaithfulness(S) to you.(T) 8 We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, Lord, because we have sinned against you.(U) 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving,(V) even though we have rebelled against him;(W) 10 we have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.(X) 11 All Israel has transgressed(Y) your law(Z) and turned away, refusing to obey you.
“Therefore the curses(AA) and sworn judgments(AB) written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned(AC) against you. 12 You have fulfilled(AD) the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing on us great disaster.(AE) Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like(AF) what has been done to Jerusalem.(AG) 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord(AH) our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth.(AI) 14 The Lord did not hesitate to bring the disaster(AJ) on us, for the Lord our God is righteous in everything he does;(AK) yet we have not obeyed him.(AL)
15 “Now, Lord our God, who brought your people out of Egypt with a mighty hand(AM) and who made for yourself a name(AN) that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong. 16 Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts,(AO) turn away(AP) your anger and your wrath(AQ) from Jerusalem,(AR) your city, your holy hill.(AS) Our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn(AT) to all those around us.
17 “Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, Lord, look with favor(AU) on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear,(AV) our God, and hear;(AW) open your eyes and see(AX) the desolation of the city that bears your Name.(AY) We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.(AZ) 19 Lord, listen! Lord, forgive!(BA) Lord, hear and act! For your sake,(BB) my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”
The Seventy “Sevens”
20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing(BC) my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill(BD)— 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel,(BE) the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.(BF) 22 He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.(BG) 23 As soon as you began to pray,(BH) a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.(BI) Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:(BJ)
24 “Seventy ‘sevens’[c] are decreed for your people and your holy city(BK) to finish[d] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone(BL) for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness,(BM) to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.[e]
25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild(BN) Jerusalem until the Anointed One,[f](BO) the ruler,(BP) comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.(BQ) 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death(BR) and will have nothing.[g] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood:(BS) War will continue until the end, and desolations(BT) have been decreed.(BU) 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’[h] In the middle of the ‘seven’[i] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple[j] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed(BV) is poured out on him.[k]”[l]

9 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
