14 I heard the other angel answer, “It will continue for 2,300 evenings and mornings, during which sacrifices will not be offered. Then the Temple will be restored.”

15 I was trying to understand what the vision meant, when suddenly someone was standing in front of me. 16 (A)I heard a voice call out over the Ulai River, “Gabriel, explain to him the meaning of what he saw.”

Daniel Seeks to Understand the Vision
15 Now it happened when (B)I, Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought [b]to understand it; and behold, standing before me was one [c]who had the appearance of a (C)man. 16 And I heard the voice of a man between the banks of Ulai, and he called out and said, “(D)Gabriel, give this man an understanding of what has appeared.”
